Senior Yoga Teacher & Founder
Shuddha teaches Traditional Hatha Yoga, guiding students to witness the body, breath, and thoughts, creating mindfulness through Yoga. She believes that mind and body healing can be experienced through the traditional Yoga postures, bestowing benefits to the practitioner by holding the poses and repetition.
Shuddha also has an ardent interest in alignment in her classes and regularly attends Iyengar classes to deepen her experience of postural awareness.
Shuddha’s interest in spirituality started from a young age when she practiced meditation with the desire to astrally project and see auras… unfortunately, she didn’t succeed at that time!
Shuddha started practicing Yoga when she was 14 years old at the Sivananda Yoga Ashram in Perth. 9 years later she completed her first teacher training and started teaching in 2005. She has completed over 1900 hrs of Yoga teacher training and lived as a Yoga Monk (Sannyasin) at the Bihar School of Yoga from 2011-2013.
She has traveled to India more than 9 times and has attended various courses in the Tantric traditional practices of Chakra Shuddhi, Prana Vidya, Tattwa Shuddhi, Puja, Havan, and Yajnas.
She has her own daily practice of Yoga and Meditation of two-plus hours per day and frequently attends Vipassana meditation silent retreats to deepen her practice. Meditation is one of the main passions in her life as it has helped her to gain greater insight into herself and the tools to maintain emotional equilibrium through the ups and downs that life offers. Shuddhachittam is also a qualified Hypnotherapist and Theta Healer.

Shuddha started teaching Yoga in late 2005 when she was 23 years old in Melbourne Australia since then it has been her full-time occupation. She has taught in Yoga studios, corporate workplaces, schools, nursing homes, and immigration detention centers in Melbourne.
In 2015 and 2016 she lived in South Korea. She taught weekly yoga classes, workshops, and retreats. One of the highlights at that time was being featured on a weekly radio program where she taught short guided yoga sessions for listeners.
In recent years Shuddha has taught drop-in classes in North India and also in Kerala for clients undergoing Panchakarma, an Ayurvedic traditional detox therapy.
In 2017 she published her first e-book ‘Yoga Class Plans’, which is a collection of class plans including beginners, intermediate and therapeutic programs. This book is aimed at the benefit of Yoga teachers or students who have a consistent home practice.
